Meet Kris
Kris is a 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier who is our FIRST official sanctuary resident. Kris has had a hard upbringing - coming from an overcrowded shelter with little human interaction which has resulted in overstimulation issues; Kris isn’t able to thrive in a traditional home setting. We were introduced to Kris when he was taken in by a local (Rochester, MN) rescue, Forever Fido Puppy Rescue. Kris’s behaviors that are associated with his overstimulation issues have improved since working with Jessica, a trainer and the operator of Forever Fido, but he still struggles with mouthing and behaviors that could be dangerous if in the wrong setting. Kris is a sweet pup, but a traditional home would present situations that Kris is not able to handle in a safe manner. Which leads him to being the pawfect candidate for the sanctuary.
Kris is currently being housed by Forever Fido Puppy Rescue and will remain there until we have the sanctuary up and running. Kris deserves all the love and goodies that any other dog deserves and we are making sure he receives that. Our board members, along with volunteers of Forever Fido, visit Kris often - giving him extra love, attention, and time to enjoy life outside of his current space.
