Season of Giving
We have officially entered the Season of Giving!
With that said, we know that the holidays are a busy time in life, but we hope that you’ll be able to come out & support us for our events coming up. So what’s on the calendar?
~ Customized Dog Stockings - November 16th - December 19th; When you purchase a customized stocking from The Boutique at Companion Acres (3902 Commerce Ct SW, Rochester, MN 55902), Companion Homestead receives a portion of the sale. This is a fun and cute way of giving your pup a special spot on the mantle, while supporting our cause.
~ Give to the Max Day - Thursday, November 20th, is the ultimate day of giving through GiveMN.org. This day we are asking for donations, whether it’s a $1 or $100, anything and everything is helpful! With your donation, we are entered into various different “pools” where we get the chance to win extra donations! So truly, anything and everything helps us get one step closer to our goal!
~ 3rd Annual Bake Sale - Tuesday, November 25th from 6:15a-7:30p at Companion Acres (3902 Commerce Ct SW, Rochester, MN 55902); let us do all the holiday baking for you! There will be pies, cookie plates, blondies, bars, & more! This year, we are excited to announce that People’s Food Co-op of Rochester is donating $100 worth of treats and sweets! So if you’re a fan of PFC, definitely make sure to stop by! Depending on weather, we will also have Yoyo Yummies food truck* hanging out in the parking lot for you to grab lunch and an early dinner! All proceeds from the bake sale go directly to building SE MN’s first dog sanctuary! *Time TBD
~ Giving Tree @ Companion Acres - November 25th thru December 22nd; The Giving Tree at Companion Acres will be featuring ornaments with items that benefit Companion Homestead and our (future) sanctuary pup, Kris. Stop by The Boutique at Companion Acres (3902 Commerce Ct SW, Rochester, MN 55902) and choose a ornament! *Please return donation item to the giving tree by December 22nd so we can deliver to Kris before Christmas.
~ Adoption Event - Saturday, December 6th from 3p-5p at LTS Brewing Co; a sweet (and squishy) twist on a typical adoption event, we are inviting kiddos and their parents to adopt a toy dog! When you adopt one of our stuffed animals, you’ll get to decorate a house for your pup, make a collar, and fill out an official adoption certificate! And the best part….we have a very special guest that will make an appearance at 5p sharp! Hint: you’ll already have a pup to take home, so no need to ask him ;)
~ Kris’s 7th Birthday - Monday, December 22nd; We will be celebrating Kris’s birthday all month long, but the big day is the 22nd. To make his birthday a special one you can purchase something off his wish lists, send monetary donations, OR just sending Kris some love!
